What  is Amazon Brand Registry?

Amazon Brand Registry is a global service with tools to help you protect your Brand’s intellectual property (IP), find and report violations, and share information that can help us proactively prevent violations. Enrolling in Amazon Brand Registry unlocks a suite of tools designed to help you build and protect your brand, creating a better experience for customers. You can then build your brand with A+ Content, Sponsored Brands, Amazon Stores, and Amazon Brand Analytics.

Eligibility Criteria :

To be eligible for Amazon Brand Registry, your brand must have an active registered trademark in each country where you wish to enroll or have a pending trademark application.

  • The trademark for your brand must be in the form of a text-based mark (word mark) or an image-based mark with words, letters, or numbers (design mark).

  • The trademark text must match the brand name on the application. If your trademark is an image-based mark with words, letters, or numbers, you will need to upload a copy of the image exactly as it appears on your trademark record.

  • This trademark must also appear on your products or packaging. The requirements also Depend on where your trademark is registered, eligible trademarks can have different classifications based on their issuing trademark office

  • If you are an authorized agent, the trademark owner has to enroll the brand first, and you can add your account as an additional user. If you meet the eligibility requirements, sign in using your existing Seller or Vendor Central credentials. Using the same username and password will enable access to Brand Registry features and benefits that are linked to Vendor and Seller services.

  • The trademark owner must submit Brand Registry applications.

Enroll your brand :

To enroll a brand, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your brand name that has an active registered trademark. The active registered trademark for your brand must appear on your products or packaging. Brand Registry is also accepting brands that have a trademark pending registration in a subset of trademark offices.
  • The trademark registration number provided by the Intellectual Property office. Application number provided by the Intellectual Property office can only be provided if you are enrolling with a trademark pending registration.
  • A list of product categories (e.g., apparel, sporting goods, electronics) in which your brand should be listed.

 

After seller submit this information, Amazon will verify that seller is the Rights Owner of the trademark and reach out to a contact that meets Amazon’s requirements. Applicant will receive a verification code. he will need to send this code back to Amazon to complete the enrollment process. Once Amazon have verified the provided information, seller will get access to the full suite of Amazon Brand Registry’s benefits and features that help you protect your brand.
